Intensive Outpatient Services

Intensive Outpatient Substance Use Program (IOP) provides psycho educational treatment for individuals 18 and older who are experiencing substance use disorders. The goal of treatment is to support individuals with substance abuse recovery. IOP treatment provides a more intensive level of service than the more traditional service, but is less intensive than inpatient treatment. It is also capable of treating individuals with a relatively stable co-occurring mental illness and substance use disorder.

This treatment modality provides nine or more hours of group interventions per week (three hours a day, three times a week). The group components include counseling and education about substance use and mental health. Participants are also expected to attend Support Group such as Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) in addition to the nine hours of group treatment.
