RISP provides support for children from birth to three years of age who
may have developmental delays. Much of a child's future takes shape in
the first years of life. This is a unique "window of opportunity" and is a
time of discovery and a time to learn the basic skills that will last a
lifetime. But not all children grow and learn at the same pace. Some
children need extra help to learn new skills or other ways to master
basic skills.
Early intervention services for infants and toddlers have proven to be a
very worthy investment in the future, with considerable long-term
benefits. Longitudinal studies of early intervention programs have
documented the long lasting effects and cost benefits of early
intervention, which stretch from preschool to adulthood.
At RISP, challenges are opportunities - for growth, for
learning, and for identifying the very special strengths in all
of us.
